I am the luckiest..

Two years ago today Tyson proposed and my life changed forever.  I am the luckiest girl.  I have been thinking a lot about how blessed I am to have married someone who is perfect for me, imperfect me.  Someone who inspires me to be better and who continually meets my needs.  I am so grateful for my knowledge of eternal marriage and couldn't imagine spending forever with anyone else.  I was reading through http://www.ablogaboutlove.com/ today and came across a post that really made me think.  The husband talks about, before he was married, having a list of "musts" for his future spouse and then other characteristics that would be nice to have, but not absolutely necessary.

I have been thinking about what my "musts" and "nice to haves" were and how Tyson fits those expectations.  Most importantly, Tys shares my core values and possess all of the characteristics I saw as essential in my spouse.  He is spiritual, loving, kind, respectful, and hard working. I would say "musts" are the foundation of any relationship, hence their vital nature, but the "nice to haves" continually enhance our relationship and tend to be those things that make me fall more in love everyday...the way he can make me laugh-even why I am trying my hardest to stay upset, how great he is with our nieces and nephews, his mad skills on the guitar, his excitement and eagerness to be a dad, how he teaches me not to take myself so seriously, how protective he is of my closest friends, how he loves watching Bachelor & Bachelorette as much as I do (if not more), his eternal perspective, how he inserts my name into every song, his willingness to fix me breakfast every morning at 6:30, his love for his family, I could go on and on...but I will just say, Tyson is perfect for me and I am totally smitten.

PS. I am obsessed with this song and hearing Tys play and sing it melts my heart...
